Every vehicle type, as well as individual components, must be tested for safety and reliability in various crash tests. Dynamic sensors play a key role in these tests.
Based on their results and the detailed information provided by the tests, the protection of the vehicle occupants can be analyzed. Here it is essential that the measurement systems used provide accurate values.
SPEKTRA provides a broad portfolio for all crash test equipment suppliers and operators. From complete systems to data connections and special accessory components.

CS Q-LEAP™ – the complete calibration solution
Cutting-edge technology – flexible, efficient and future-oriented
The CS Q-LEAP™ calibration system from SPEKTRA sets new benchmarks. By combining our HERO™ controller and various exciters, we can cover an enormously wide frequency range from 8 mHz to 350 kHz. A system can thereby be configured for different measurands such as acceleration, vibration, shock, acoustic measurands, rotation rate, pressure and others. It can process both analog and purely digital sensors and is fully traceable to PTB.
The new service concept significantly minimizes downtime, and modules can be calibrated individually and configure themselves independently following replacement. In addition, our CS Q-LEAP™ software and eCal™ are future-proof and already offer many advantages, such as a test item database and simple, flexible data exchange for, e.g., printable PDF calibration certificates or digital calibration certificates.

Modular for every application
Wide range of calibration exciters and components
SPEKTRA develops and manufactures a wide range of calibration exciters for vibration, shock, pressure and rotation rate which can be used in complete systems as well as in test systems for small devices under test.
We also offer components such as the anechoic chamber for secondary calibration of measuring microphones, sound level meters and other sound sensors.

Mobile solutions
Test and calibrate sensors directly on site
Sensors in crash test equipment must be checked regularly for accuracy and reliability. With our mobile CV-10 calibration system, traceable to the PTB, this can be done quickly and easily directly on site. With a frequency range of 5 Hz...10 kHz, an extension module for PR sensors and a special adapter for proximity sensors, the CV-10 is the perfect tool for the crash test and automotive industry.
Vibration calibratorallows, among other things, the calibration of vibration measuring devices on site, the inspection of sensor cabling or the troubleshooting of vibration measurement chains on machines.

Service and expertise
Process support from a team of experts
Over the past 30 years, SPEKTRA has developed extensive industry expertise. With this profound knowledge, we support you in your operational procedures or during the accreditation process.
Which parameters can influence the measuring results? We help you to create and calculate the measurement uncertainty budget in the accreditation process. Benefit from the insider knowledge that we draw from our daily work in our calibration laboratories.
We are your contact for interlaboratory comparisons. For decades, we have been working hand in hand with renowned National Metrology Institutes (NMI). We are accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and regularly participate in Interlaboratory Comparison (ILC) programs for various measurands or calibration procedures.

Calibration Services
Accredited and of the highest quality
In our in-house accredited laboratories, we accept your calibration orders for many different pieces of measuring equipment and quantities. In addition to professional expert advice, we offer effective turnaround times and internationally recognized calibration certificates.

Data exchange
Connection to customer databases
The connection to customer databases of industry solutions such as Kistler Crashdesigner or Messring DB is enormously important and makes the calibration process efficient and user-friendly.
We develop our software with open interfaces or standardized exchange formats for effective connection to various databases. SPEKTRA has recognized the requirements and the need for a simple and individual exchange of complex data, especially in the field of sensors and measuring equipment, and has defined this as an important goal in development.
