Pressure exciters

Dynamic testing and calibration of pressure sensors

Pressure exciters allow for the precise dynamic calibration and testing of pressure transducers in realistic conditions. They are ideal for evaluating the behavior of sensors under pressure due to their ability to generate shock-like pressure pulses with very short pulse duration.

Very short pulse duration

Whether in air or oil: Using different media enables application-specific adaptation to measurement tasks and test environments. This makes it possible to generate rapid pressure changes and demanding dynamic loads in a reproducible manner.

Discover the right pressure transducers for your testing requirements now and optimize your sensor validation.

Precision and traceability

Highest measurement accuracy thanks to traceable calibration and standard-compliant testing procedures.

Easy system integration

Seamless integration into existing environments through interfaces and modular solutions.

One-stop shop solutions

Everything from one hand—from the right hardware and software to service and support.

What is a dynamic pressure exciter?

A pressure exciter is a test device that generates short-duration, defined pressure pulses. These are used for the dynamic characterization of pressure sensors.

It typically operates based on mechanical or fluidic principles, deliberately triggering a rapid pressure rise. The resulting pulses can be used to analyze response time, frequency response, and damping. The various models differ primarily in terms of the medium used (e.g. air or oil), the maximum pressure level and the pulse shape and duration. Consequently, they are designed for different sensor types and measurement ranges.

Our pressure exciters can be easily and seamlessly integrated into our solutions for the characterization and calibration of your measurement equipment.
