Scope of factory calibration of shock and dynamic force has been extended

Using our new product HOPkinson
bar, shock sensors can be calibrated by CS18 HOP with a full shock period at up to 500.000
m/s2. Prestressed force sensors can be calibrated dynamically with sinusoidal
force excitation. Pulse hammers can be calibrated with respect to their pulse
force.

Special services for Human vibration meters

A new set of services
has been compiled especially for the calibration of Human vibration meters. As
a result, the new requirements of standard DIN EN ISO 8041 are met, too.

Extended accreditation of DKD laboratory
The existing accreditation of our DKD Calibration laboratory was extended in particular in the field of acoustics.

Thus as from now, customers can submit
their sound level meters to SPEKTRA
for DKD calibration. Moreover they can combine DKD calibration with a thorough
check of their electrical characteristics in the framework of a periodic test according to DIN EN 61672-3 resulting in a
declaration of conformity.
The results will be certified by issuing
a DKD calibration certificate that,
if so requested, can be extended to include a declaration of conformity with the manufacturer's specification.
In the field of acceleration, some modifications and extensions have been made. Charge amplifiers may now be calibrated
up to 50 kHz with a DKD certificate.
For further information, please refer
to Annex 5 of our accreditation certificate that you will find under Certification.

Trade fair review Sensor + Test
Trade Fair Sensor + Test 2006 in Nuremberg was a great success for SPEKTRA.

SPEKTRA took part in the Sensor +
Test trade fair in Nuremberg another time. Our high expectations in this trade
fair were met in full.
It turned out that the interest of
our customers at home and abroad in our CS18 calibration system has again risen
compared with recent years.
Apart from the type VCS 201
Vibration control system based on SPEKTRA hardware, first prototypes of the
types VCS 301 and VCS 401 Vibration control systems based on National
Instruments hardware were presented.

SPEKTRA’s NEW family of controllers
A new family of vibration control systems for environmental simulation tests using vibration test systems now available from SPEKTRA.

The hardware of this scaleable
family of controllers is based on powerful and future-oriented components by SPEKTRA
and National Instruments. Interfaces to common tools on the market such as
LabVIEW, LabWindows, LabWindowsCVI, ... provide for flexibility for the user.
It is our aim to offer the user a set
of systems, staggered in performance and price, with a common user interface:
- VCS
201: System of medium performance, also for special applications, based on
SPEKTRA hardware
- VCS
301: Robust and compact low-priced device, based on National Instruments
NI compact RIO
- VCS
401: Powerful open system based on National Instruments NI PXI
All controllers of this family run on standardized PC software for implementing
the following modes of operation: sinusoidal, noise and shock. A remote control interface is available
as an optional extra. It can be used for linking any of the controllers of the
family to testing applications as a
sub-system.
System VCS 301 is aimed at low-priced applications, e. g. in automatic
production test systems. In contrast to that, a number of more powerful optional
extras are available for the systems VCS 201 and VCS 401.
